Some enemies will attack anyway, if they're supposed to (spiders iirc) no matter what your level. The point would be to just not take much damage from them doing it. I think I ale farmed on my level 10-12 warrior for a while and it was pretty simple, they did almost no damage so I just ignored them. Also, get the collector armor available in pre so you have as much armor as possible.

Your level in pre does not affect how the foes respond to you. Foes such as wolves and spiders will always attack you if you get in aggro range, no matter what level you are. Foes such as river skales and stone elementals will not attack you, no matter what level you are, unless you attack them or they are grouped with a higher-level foe (broodcaller, hulking stone elemental) that attacks you.
